I will be giving my next plein air workshop in April 2010. This workshop will take place at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and along the James River Park, both in Richmond VA. The class will start Thursday evening in my studio, with a presentation regarding plein air painting including a painting demonstration of a still life.

Friday morning we meet at Lewis Ginter at 9 am, break for Lunch and then resume painting until 5pm.. Next we meet at the Pony Pasture parking lot for the James River Park, for a day of painting along the river. After finishing painting on Saturday once again at 5, we will come back to my studio to look at the paintings and have a light dinner of cuban food, provided by Kuba Kuba, (which is below my studio)

The class will not have more than ten participants. Everyone needs to bring their own supplies. The goal will be to paint a total of four paintings, hopefully two of them will be keepers. I recommend that everyone work in a 10" x 12" to a 20" x 24" range.

The fee for the class is $250 and includes everything except your artist materials and possibly entry into lewis Ginter ($10.00).

In conclusion we will draw the participants name from a hat for the best of the demonstration paintings.
